On
these pages we are conducting discussions relevant to our membership, which
includes Inspectors and Plans Examiners. We expect the
discussions to include interpretations of the
four codes (see sidebar right), new products, code enforcement
strategies and any related subjects you want to bring to the
attention of the rest of us.
Below you will notice links to
plumbing, mechanical or gas comments. All are welcome to join in.
Please note that comments are to be submitted by e-mail. This will
provide us an opportunity to screen out the insincere and/or unrelated comments, including unwelcome language. Many web sites offering
this service with real time comments have had to discontinue the
practice
because of abuse by outsiders: persons with no interest in the web
site's purpose - but actively using the facility to promote their own
interests.
Requiring submittals by e-mail introduces a slight time lag in the spontaneity
of discussion, but it will assure the survival of the service. |
The
four codes:
The International Plumbing Code; The International
Mechanical Code and The International Gas Code make up three. The
fourth code is the International Residential Code and includes the
Plumbing Portion; the Mechanical Portion and the Gas Portion. |
